i hope you will join us on weeks you don't have a race . . . Well . . . we'll see how schedules work out. Remember, you guys are coming into your peak racing season while I'm getting ready to transition into a winter build-up for next spring's triathlon season. The October racing series will pretty much be my speedwork for the Senior Bowl. Then, I'll be focusing on endurance and the longer races so I probably won't be doing any track work during the winter, only tempo runs. I gotta get out with you guys more often though because you're a fun bunch of crazies ;D and because with you being at Auburn for the first 4 years I was down here, after trading forum posts for 5 years, I still don't know for sure if I even know what you look like. I have appreciated all your advice over the years by the way. I'm glad to hear you've found my advice userful. I wish I'd had someone to give me a little guidance when I was 17, 18, 19 years old and running myself right out of running. "Pay it forward" has to start somewhere. Hopefully, I can help a few people avoid destroying themselves the way I destroyed myself. Leif

Under Mud run results, There is a nice centerfold picture of Wyman in the front showing off his masculin self surrounded by our goodlooking team of spiridon runners. Yea . . . see . . . that's the problem. I've only seen Wyman under two circumstances. 1. Hazy, schetchy, fuzzy pictures in web sites and in the PCP newsletters that are too unclear to allow me to identify him in a line-up (should I ever need to do that : . 2. A quick glance as he runs by me on the way back from an out-and-back race as I'm still on the way out and too deep into anaerobic metabolism to recognize even my own wife . . .

Hey Wyman! Yup, that is me. It wasn't a particularly impressive wipe out. After hundreds of feet climbing and a pretty fast and furious decent I was on my way back to the camp ground and bailed on a little asphalt road 20 feet from my tent. I consider such moments offerings to the mountain bike gods. The good news is that I don't mountain bike anymore, ergo, most of my knee skin has been intact for months. The bad news is that I had to sell that bike to pay for Ironman. Oh well. Priorities. [glow=red,2,300]Cheers![/glow] See ya Thursday!
