I normally don't listen to music, when I run. Since I was running a long run by myself, I figured I would give it a try. My wife (Gina) and all the managers at work, were given ipod shuffles as an anniversary gift. I downloaded a 100 or so songs on Saturday. Very simple, and fast, using my own cd's.
The sound is incredible, for something that only weighs an ounce. I bought the sports pack, to attach to my arm. My biggest problem, was the little foam pieces that go on the ear plugs. I either tore it, when I put them on yesterday, or it just slip off. My left earpiece, fell out, when I switched hand, for my water bottle. When I tried to put it back in, it fell out again. It was like 4:40 am, and I could not see, till I got under a street light, it came off. The other side was fine the entire time.
I will have to try it again in the future. I had my doubts, if it would stay put, with all the sweating, and pounding.

I like the iPod shuffle, but I can't wear (or perhaps I should say "Don't like to"...) anything like that while I'm running.
Todd, you can get an adapter at Walmart which will enable you to play your iPod thru your car stereo if you like....plays thru an available FM channel.
