So I finished my first marathon this weekend in Louisville (Lou-a-vul) in 3:52:47 chip time. Slightly disappointed with the time, but given the conditions, 80+ at the finish, I was happy to just cross the finish line. Supposedly there were about 2000 people who began the marathon, but only 1035 actually registered a finish! I was on pace for the first 15 miles for my goal of 3:30 before the evil sun started to work on me. Those water/powerade stations just could not come quick enough! Looking forward to the next one this fall with hopefully some cooler temps.

Congratulations on your first Marathon Ryan! Yeah those temps would have certainly done me in. Dang, with that "finishers" percentage it sounds more like it was the Bataan Death March. Hopefully you will get better weather in for your next one.
