Clint, I stopped in to watch, and though I don't have the exact times we had several people from our Wednesday night group who were there for the race. Of course it was HOT! .....BUT there WAS a pretty stiff breeze in everyone's face on the way back. Tony Okello was the winner by a wide margin with a time of right around 17-minutes I believe? The Women's race was fun to watch as the 1st & 2nd place Women had a nice little battle right down to the end. At the finish it was Margo Andrews who took 1st overall right at 21-minutes?......and Carrie Tucker was right on her heels at 21:03? Nice job ladies! David Jeffries had a fine race, but my apologies....I can't remember which award he took. I believe Richard Kutzner took Senior Grand Masters?.......and Maureen Van Devander finished up in good shape as well! This is the "Cliff Notes" version, hopefully one or two of the above can fill us in on more details. ;D I was somewhat surprised at the turnout. Although still a fairly small race in numbers, I believe they more than doubled their turnout from last year.

Well, from personal experience it was nice and HOT lol!!! I finished in 21:08 the paper said and Margo i believe finished in like 21:04 or something like that, we were neck and neck so that made for an interesting race! Im not really sure what everyone elses times were though but I know Richard did really good in the heat! The wind was pretty hard on the way back though!! The course started in the battleship's parking lot and then went out and down to Felix's, then we circled around and went back to the parking lot, that was weird because you were like running facing the other runner's... but anyways.. bottom line, HOT. Maybe tomorrow morning wont be quite as hot... hoping for a breeze?!?!?!

Be ready! Ali and I are getting there @ 5:30 to run two miles before everyone arrives. We're going 16 miles. I know it was hot! We finished about 7:30 and it was scorching then in the shade! At least the heat will melt my pounds away!!!
