Just so everyone is aware there will be some "shifts" in workouts and locations over the next couple of weeks. This coming week we'll be starting a group track session up on Mondays at Bayside in Daphne at 6:30pm, as well as another group track session on Tuesdays at McGill H.S. track also starting at 6:30. Then on Wednesday we have a small group doing a hill repeat session (total of about 6 miles on the run) starting from Laun Park off of Cottage Hill Rd......again starting at 6:30. Then on Thursday evenings we will be having another hill repeat workout in Daphne starting from our usual Thursday night run location.....that one starts at 6:00pm.
All of these workouts are of course open to everyone, but if this is your first time hearing about them it's because they were scheduled with specifics in mind......one of those being getting some leg turnover work for those going to Oregon in 8 weeks for the Hood To Coast......and I also have some clients who are scheduled for some of these workouts in leading up to their goal races.
We also still have SEVERAL people who are scheduled for another week or two to of hitting the trails at CHP.
I would encourage those who have no desire for track work or hill repeats at this time......and of course if it doen't fall into your training cycle at this time to continue their workouts on the trails. The trails will continue to build your strength and get you ready for the upcoming tempo & track work taking you into the Fall racing season.
At any rate.....this should give everyone plenty of options over the next several weeks. ;D
