Come on guys, I know with the weather conditions (felt pretty good to me, but I heard stories of people with ice in their hair )....there must be some good "stories" from some folks who ran either the full or the half marathon yesterday. What I wanna know is, did Kelly recite any Dr Seuss for Van 3?? ;D

I vowed to never run a half again!!! Up until mile 7 I was averaging between 6:40 and 6:55, then at mile 8 I threw up everywhere and I think the weeklong sickness and my knee killing me all came together to ruin my race. my next two miles were run/walk 9:50's then i decided i better finish so i jogged in the last 3 with my undershirt frozen to me, my facemask and toboggan with ice on them and cold wet gloves. i couldnt stop shaking until i got in a warm shower. unless i find a may half, im sticking to 5k, and 10ks, things I can RACE.

Still haven't seen the official relay results but I heard we were the 4th relay team overall. I think we were the 2nd coed team and probably won our division. It was fun riding in Van 3. The best or maybe worst part, depending on how you look at it, of running the last leg was getting to ride in the van and watch/laugh at the reactions of my teammates as they got back in the van after their legs. Kelly complained of her face going numb. Ray tried to complain about his face going numb but his mouth wasn't working to let the words out. Then, I thought Ali was going to die lying on the side of the road at mile 15. I didn't get to enjoy Bowie's misery, but I'm sure everyone got a kick out of me at the end when it felt as if someone had given me a crippling kick to the boys. It was cold but fun and made me miss being in Oregon. We really need to plan another relay event. On another note, I was pleasantly surprised with my time/effort on my leg and now I am not feeling quite so bad about getting ready for New Orleans. Oh, and one last thing. Daniel, MTFU!! Just kidding. Good job all things considered.
