WHEW!! Well, another Joe Cain 5k is now in the books and best as my foggy memory will allow it was a rousing success! The weather truly could not have been much better.....chilly temps with plenty of Sun and NO wind! Special thanks to those who came and helped out with the race and it's logistics.....I know this is dangerous because I am bound to forget someone but kudos to.....Kenny, Jon B., Tracey, Pam, Brad, Dianne, Elise's two Daughters Kelly & Andie.....and there were MANY others! Thanks so much! The race was won by our own Jon Bowie with a speedy time of 16:10. Other team members and friends who had notable races... Kenric Andrews- 4th overall -17:56 Larry Wayne- 8th overall - 18:34 Daniel Gardner 14th overall - 18:52 Samantha Yeager - 1st in div.- 20:56 Elise Partridge - Grandmasters Winner - 24:19 Richard Kutzner - 2nd in div. - 22:19 .....and Trey Oliver, who was using this "race" as a "recovery" run after his 20-Miler on Saturday....ran 21:00. Thanks again to all those who pitched in and helped.....some got pulled into the fray at the very last minute!! Also of note, Anna Halex ran the Mercedes Marathon this past weekend.....blazing the course in a time of 2:59:21 to take 3rd place female overall. I think Brent was planning on running this one....I couldn't find his name, perhaps he can chime in and give us a report.

Lets hear some love for the Monday Scrub team! Jon, Your client, Mark Ogren finished third in his age group @ 20 :38. An improvement of 1:03 in less than 3 months. You'll also be happy to know he hit the last one of the 400s tonight in 1:20. Great running to all, sorry I couldn't be there.
