I'd rather not talk about my wrong turn. I know the course too well to make a mistake like that. I think I probably lost around 30 seconds and I cannot say for sure that I would have or would not have been able to catch Kenric. I don't know how he was feeling, but I felt strong and was ready to let it rip over the last 3/4 mile. I was so pissed off when I realized what I had done that I almost took a DNF. The only thing that kept me going was trying to score in Corporate Cup for the BARs.
Oh well, on to the next race. I am still planning on running a half marathon in 3 weeks although after Saturday I am dreading it more than ever. After that I will probably run the Firecracker 5k in P'cola if anyone is interested. On a sidenote, I hear the Brit has been doing some closet training and has gotten himself back into pretty good shape. I know he's going to England for a month, so if he keeps his training up over there we might have to worry about him whipping our butts when he gets back.

I thought you all did a great job especially when you consider the tough course and the heat. I enjoyed watching the race and hope to be back out there real soon. Kenny, I still can't believe you got lost on a course that Spiridon trained on over and over last year. Must be old age!
