So, this Sunday I attempted my best Jon Adams impersonation and wilt in the heat. I started feeling really bad about 8 miles in and by the Grand Hotel I was toast. Thanks to Amy for sticking with me and then running a tempo run to get to her vehicle and come pick me up. I spent the majority of the day yesterday with bad leg cramps despite drinking a gallon of gatorade/water mixture. I am feeling better today but it definitely whipped my butt yesterday. Never a good sign when its 86 degrees at 5 am. This morning wasn't much better so I opted to go back to sleep and try my luck this evening.

I feel your pain........ Sorry we missed y'all, we ended up getting a later start (7:00) so opted for a shorter course....but HILLY. Ran the Montrose hills for about 6. .......and YES these past 3 mornings have been BRUTAL!!! This morning seemed especially bad to me, walked out the door and it hit me in the face! Saw 86 @ 5:30.... I hope we get another rain shower for our Tuesday evening run. ;D

Sorry I missed the heat over here this weekend. I got lucky and all my runs were in the rain in Jacksonville. Although; I did sit down on a stump out in the mangrove swamp and got my butt chewed up by red ants. As for the mornings this week, my daughters have gotten me up me up to run with them for a couple of miles. We all play in the hose in the front yard afterwords. Anyhow; I'm total shock that my teen daughters would get up at all at 6:00 in the morning let alone run in the HEAT! Wonders Never Cease!!!
