Recently the Mizuno line of shoes have become my favorite line of shoes overall. Of course I still like other brands/models, but looking at a shoe line as a whole, I really like the fit and feel of the Mizunos. If you haven't tried them yet, I encourage you to give them a ride. The only drawback is that there is no true Mizuno dealer in our immediate area. You can however find a somewhat limited supply of Mizunos in Foley at Sports N' More......at a GREAT price.

Thanks Jon...I've never tried them either but today recognized the importance of new shoes. My knee has been a little sore because I've been wearing an old pair of Air Max...I switched to a new pair of Pegasus...my old brand...Seems like problem solved...Boy, did the newer cushioning feel good at 3 miles. What's a good pair of racing flats nowdays? Preferably NIKE brand...I wish they still made Pegasus racer...Also, there was another NIKE model I used to wear...can't think of the name but remember they were sort of pink and blue...but, very light. Even ran a marathon in them.

A google search turns up hundreds of places online to purchase Mizuno shoes. I don't know if their sizes run big or small though. Nike sizes are pretty much true sizes.

I wish they still made Pegasus racer.. They Do! ....Roy wore a new pair of Pegasus Racers at Chicago this year. The Mizunos run pretty true to size....or at least they have for me so far. IMO these shoes are sort of a cross between the feel of a Nike and an Asics shoe. The one's I've tried so far.....Wave Rider, Precision6 (excellent lightweight shoe), Revolver (racing flat). Roadrunner Sports offers a wide variety of models.

Here's a Mizuno follow-up. I picked up a pair of Wave Runners (?) on severe discount at Sierra Trading Post last May. They worked very well for me and lasted much longer than many of my New Balance shoes. So, when they wore out and I ran across Mizuno Wave 3's on severe sale at STP, I bought a pair of those. Same excellent results so far and, because of the success, I not only grabbed a second pair at 55% off, I also purchased a pair of Mizuno light-weight trainer/ racers (can't seem to remember the model at the moment). Wore them for the first time at the 1st light relay, again with good results. Certainly my orthodics are contributing to the good results but I got the first pair before I got the orthodics so I think my satisfaction with the Mizuno line is more than just the success I'm having with my orthodics.
I'm also finding that they run closer to street shoe size than "running shoe size". I often wear 12's in most running shoes but wear an 11 in a street shoe. So far, 11.5 has been the best fit for me in all three Mizuno styles I've worn lately.

I found that to be the case for me as well. Funny thing is, when I bought my first pair I bought size 9....or thought I was. I actually had on a pair of 8 1/2....they felt great.

I just bought a pair of Mizuno's off of Sierra Trading post web site. They were only like $35 after shipping and a great running shoe! just last years style I believe. Great running shoes for cheap I recommend it to everyone.
