You wouldn't think a little thing like SOCKS would be a big deal. ......but I have to admit I have become a fan of the Smartwool socks. Roy & brent turned me on to these. I still enjoy my thin Nike "tech" socks, but these Smartwool socks are great! Thankfully I can get them in a "thin" version. In the past I always associated the term "wool" with "hot".......a condition I try to avoid like the plague. These socks wick moisture better than anything I've tried before and keep my feet feeling dry throughout my run......something I thought could not be accomplished. The downside is that these socks are expensive IMO......BUT they supposedly last a lot longer than other socks, so if that's the case I'll be doubly pleased. They run about $11 and you can find them locally ay McCoys in Mobile.

i've never run in smartwool socks, but have done a lot of hiking in them and use them when i go snowboarding. they are fabulous and if they make thinner ones, i may just have to spend the cash to get a couple of pair. i shouldn't need many with my current running schedule

The smartwool socks are great. After trying out numerous different styles and allowing Roy to do a little bit of scientific analysis on them, I have decided that these are by far the best socks I have run in.
Jill, they do make thin pairs. They also come in different heights and colors.
