What races is everybody doing this Spring and Summer? It's sometimes hard to stay motivated much past ATR, but does anybody have anything they are planning to do this Summer racewise? Since my next key race is Chicago, I will be trying to build a nice mileage base. I will also try to mix in one race per month to just act as a fitness gauge. None of these races will be an "end all-be all" race though...meaning no tapering. My tentative schedule will look something like this: April - Old Mobile 8K May - DIITB 5K June - Hot Trot 5K or Half Marathon in Jackson, MS July -

I'm planning on DIITB too. I'll get my next 6 week schedule next week then I'll know what I can do. With the warm weather I'll probably start increasing my mileage now so come fall I can be fast, VERY fast.

Yea I plan on starting to build my base too. Ali, Barry, Joe Connick, Dale Cheatwood, and I did a nice hill workout yesterday in Sugar Creek. Today, Ali and I did 8 x 400meters. I promise I won't have women pushing strollers beating me this fall. I am also tired of "trying" to "come back"! I am ready to "BE BACK"! We're training a lot smarter and concentrated more on quality than quantity.
